I have started a serious effort at quitting cigarettes, although I have decided not to try to give up nicotine all at once or cold turkey. It is not the first time that I have attempted to quit smoking, and I have failed in a number of ways. None of them will be pleasant, but I have decided that I shall try to slowly wean myself from the stuff. At the moment I have decided to try vaporizing the stuff, I went to a site called Taft vapes after I did some research and I tried to find the best way to start using one of those devices. The theory goes something like this, it is based on something that a guy I used to work with told me he had done, that is that you need to find some alternate activity. Or as the saying goes, idle hands are the devil’s workshop.
This guy told me that he quit smoking at first by trying to take longer and longer between smoking. He would smoke a cigarette over a couple of hours for example, waiting as long as he could before lighting it up. Then he would only use a part of it before putting it out and saving the rest. He said that was really hard, so he would have to find something to do. That really is not so hard. You can always find some housework to do or if you have one then you can go and work in the yard. I have decided that going for a walk is a good course of action. That is because I could stand to lose about ten or fifteen pounds, so it makes a lot of sense to take the two goals and put them together so that one helps the other.
